Sportatorium Hollywood, Florida 1981 DVD

There's a couple of different covers as an option here on this MTV show from 1981. This gig is so beyond famous it's ridiculous. A mere 11 songs(12 if you count the intro) in the set but 7 of them were selected for the legendary live album 'Extra Terrestrial Live - ETL' so just know the standard is par excellence.
I much prefer the cover artwortk below as it's includes the part of the cover of ETL obviously acknowledging the 7 songs chosen for the live album.

Rick Downey is on fire and brings his hard hitting style beautifully.Every band member is on fire. What I find interesting is that it shows that 'ETL' was not 'made and corrected in the studio'.
It really is a true representation of the show.

'The Red and the black' opens the proceedings (strangely enough it was track 4 on ETL) and it's hell for leather from start to finish.
Yes this contains the 'Definitive' 'version of 'Veteran of the psychic wars' featuring 'that' famous guitar solo.
It's all hear in glorious stereo and for you to view. It's a great show with just 'Cities on Flame', 'ME262','Born to be Wild' and 'Roadhouse Blues' not making the grade for ETL.
I've thought so many times about doing an audio rip for this and one day I'm sure I'll get round to it but for now, when I feel like listening to it only it's just easier to put on ETL.

Here's the track listing..
01 - Intro
02 - The Red and the Black
03 - Eti
04 - Joan Crawford
05 - Burnin' for You
06 - Cities on Flame
07 - Veteran of the Psychic War
08 - Me 262
09 - Godzilla

10- Born to be Wild
11 - Don't Fear the Ripper
12 - Roadhouse Blues

And for your viewing pleasure...Well, as it happens to be deleted..
Here is the full show (Just wish the picture was a little lighter) And what is Buck doing wearing that?!!!!
