Palladium, New York 1979 (Early and Late Shows)

Ok, now this is RARE. In 1979 there was a benefit show for the Kampuchean Refugees held in New York.
BOC were on the bill along with Patti Smith, Todd Rundrgen's Utopia and Meat Loaf.
The special thing about this show was that Blue Oyster Cult actually played 2 sets. An early show (around 7pm) and a late one at around Midnight. The sets were the same, with no varying on the track listing.
It's rumoured that there was a radio broadcast of the show and that this was taken from but I highly doubt it. Firstly there is no announcer/DJ or adverts ANYWHERE to be found.,secondly There is NO crowd noise at all whilst the band are playing and it's quiet and low down in the mix and yet the sound is truly AMAZING. Probably the best quality bootleg EVER. I'm 99.9 percent sure that it's a true soundboard instead. I love listening to this, i can't stress just how good it sounds. Every instrument is so clean and crisp. It's just a shame there's no song variation between the sets, but hey I'm being picky now.
There's no artwork for it either, so once again I've designed what I think is a fitting cover.
I have both the early and late sets so I have linked them into a 'Double CD'.
Please don't ask to trade.

  1. Both sets are on Wolfgang's Vault, although they only have the early set available for download.

  2. The BOC part of this show wasn't broadcast in NYC. They only broadcast the Todd show. BTW the whole thing was filmed.
