San Jose 1988

Recorded in San Jose in March 1988. The last Radio show before 'Imaginos' was released a few months after. Once again no cover was available so I decided to make my own. I do try to be varied when making them though :)
This is a pretty standard concert and  has great sound quality with a typical style greatest hits setlist. It's not the best out there by any means but it still rocks.

'Imaginos' would be released a few months after this show and that album has become a talking point for many years. I remember going to the store and seeing it sitting there inviting me in. The cover is taken from a still of 'Cliffe House' around 1900. The original photo is here..

After talking with many people about this album over the years I've come to the conclusion that it's really either a 'Love it or loathe it' album. But if you don't like it...ssshhhh, cos you just may offend a lot of BOC fans. Personally I've always wanted to like it so much,I just don't feel it's a true BOC album. It's far too disjointed. Others will tell you it's the greatest concept album of all time.

There's only a few decent recordings of the subsequent 'Imaginos' tour from 1988/89.This one is perhaps the better of the 1988 shows but the 1989 shows do have better sound quality overall.

Here's the setlist for this pre Imaginos show from San Jose in March 1988:

CD1 - 59:33
1. Introduction (3:08)
2. RU Ready To rock (5:55)
3. Dominance And Submission (6:07)
4. E.T.I. (5:50)
5. Buck’s Boogie (7:07)
6. Flaming Telepaths (7:36)
7. Take Me Away (5:16)

6. Roadhouse Blues - Love Me Two Times (11:48)

And from the Imaginos tour a few months later here's 'Flaming Telepaths'

As the sound and picture is pretty poor I've also included a superior version from 2002 for you as well.
